In 2023, The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) launched a pioneering initiative in celebration of its 60th Anniversary - The UNITAR Metaverse - powered by partner, Berexia Digital. This immersive virtual journey marked a significant milestone as the first United Nations native Metaverse, harnessing technology to advance UNITAR's mission and bring its initiatives to a global audience.

The UNITAR Metaverse was designed to provide an immersive educational journey, beginning at the quintessential Alley of the Flags leading to the Palais des Nations in Geneva. Visitors were invited to explore and interact with several different rooms and universes, completely immersing themselves in each experience, and learning along the way. The goal was to ensure that each visitor would leave the experience more knowledgeable, and better able to make an impact as a "UNITAR Virtual Ambassador for Positive Change."

Thank you to all those who helped make this experience possible, and the many people from across the globe who joined us in the Metaverse to enhance their knowledge and become "Virtual Ambassadors for Positive Change".
